In December, Michael and I were having a conversation about the pros and cons of various NS Design cello models, and decided we should do a collaboration. We haven't had the opportunity to work together for a while due to the chaos of the last few years and decided it would be fun to play something together with our two NS Design cellos.

In January, I was deep into the dark mood of winter and very tired of being trapped in the house due to Covid. I had been playing some late-night cello and letting whatever emotions came to mind come out in my music. These late night improvisations eventually became my cello part for this piece.

Michael then did an improv video along with my part and mixed our tracks together. It was so cool to hear how the polished version sounded with both cellos.

I have always wanted to try and combine my passion for cello and my passion for the visual arts. so I decided to do some creative editing on this video. I even did a digital animation using the stylus on my phone and transferred it to the video.

I'm very pleased with how this turned out! I will post the video when it is released on Wednesday.
